Condolences and Revolutionary Salute to Ka Louie Jalandoni!
To the Communist Party of the Philippines, the National Democratic Front of the Philippines, to Ka Cony, his family and to all comrades continuing the revolutionary struggle in the Philippines,
We extend our deepest condolences on the passing of Comrade Louie Jalandoni, a towering figure of the Filipino people’s movement, a tireless servant of the masses, and a stalwart of revolutionary internationalism. We join you in grief, and more importantly, in remembrance and reaffirmation of the revolutionary path to which he gave his life.
Ka Louie’s journey stands as a shining example of revolutionary transformation. His decision to abandon a life of privilege and take the side of the oppressed was not merely symbolic, it was total and unwavering. Through decades of struggle, he proved that true commitment to the people means not only standing with them in suffering but fighting relentlessly to end that suffering at its root.
Ka Louie knew that genuine justice can only be won through class struggle and revolution. In every terrain of the fight against imperialism and feudalism he stood firmly on the side of the people, always carrying the banner of organized struggle and ideological clarity. Whether in the underground, in the prisons of the fascist regime, or on the international stage, Ka Louie acted with clarity, humility, and discipline. He never allowed himself to become detached from the masses, from the core principles of the revolutionary cause, or from the harsh realities of imperialism and reaction that shaped the lives of the exploited around the world.
His life was a bridge, between faith and revolutionary praxis, between generations of fighters, between the Philippines and the global anti-imperialist movement. Through his international work, he helped to bring the Filipino people’s struggle to the world stage, forging bonds of solidarity that continue to grow stronger today.
As fellow revolutionaries, we are moved not only by the loss of a comrade, but by the depth of his example. Throughout the years, across different layers of international solidarity work, we have had the honor of working alongside Ka Louie, always marked by his sharp political clarity, gentle discipline, his warm smile, and genuine humility. Ka Louie’s life was a reminder that the revolution requires not only sacrifice, but love, love for the people, for liberation, for the future we fight to build.
We stand with you in honoring Ka Louie’s life, not only in mourning, but in action. Let us take strength from his memory, from his steadfastness, from his humility and courage. His legacy will live in every trench dug by the people, in every school of revolutionary education, in every act of resistance against imperialism, and in every step, we take toward the liberation of all oppressed peoples.
