Press Statement
In compliance with the US imperialism and arrested on September 12, 1992, by the Peruvian reactionary government, from Lima, the capital city of Peru, Comrade Gonzalo has been languishing in the dungeon until today. He has been denied of publicly meeting anyone yet. The Peruvian reactionary government seems to conspire to kill in jail Comrade Gonzalo, who is suffering from multiple complex diseases, by using mental and physical torture all through his life. Our party strongly opposes such inhuman and emotionless acts and expresses strong solidarity with the campaign launched the world over to save his life and venerable release.
