We are Raising Hope with the Party on the 50th Anniversary of its Founding

On the occasion of TKP-ML’s 50th anniversary of struggle, one of the campaign activities started with the slogan “Our Party is Our Source of Inspiration and Power” was held in Ludwigshafen, Germany, with the participation of thousands of people.

The event, which was held on May 28, 2022 with the slogan “We are Raising Hope with the Party on the 50th Anniversary of its Founding”, started with a minute’s silence for those who became immortal in the struggle for revolution and communism. Then, in the speech made on behalf of our party, “Our half-century history of struggle has once again shown us the necessity of insisting on armed struggle. Insisting on the Kaypakkaya line means insisting on MLM. Those who say, ‘Armed struggle is out of date’, are those who deviate from the Kaypakkaya line. Our only weapon against imperialism, fascism and all kinds of reaction is the MLM line, is İbrahim Kaypakkaya. Down with imperialism, fascism and all kinds of reaction! Long live our Party TKP-ML, People’s Army TİKKO! Long live our Youth Organization TMLGB and our Women’s Organization KKB.” was said. After the speech, the Music Ensemble sang our poems, marches and folk songs accompanied by a cine-vision screening. In the speeches made by the representatives of the fraternal organizations participating in the event, the differences and importance of Kaypakkaya in the Turkish revolutionary movement were mentioned.

After the multilingual concert, a speech was made on behalf of the People’s United Revolutionary Movement. In the speech, it was emphasized that HBDH is a strong step forward to revive the spirit of solidarity and that all organizations and parties within the Movement approach the trench comradeship with the spirit of solidarity of the ’71 revolutionary movement.

After a short break, the families of the martyrs, including the family of TİKKO fighter Lorenzo Orsetti, who became immortal in Rojava, were invited to the stage one by one and given plaques prepared for them. Meanwhile, the names of our martyrs were read and brief information was given about their history of struggle. In the speech made on behalf of the families of the martyrs, it was said, “The way of our martyrs is our way, we will raise the glorious flag that they handed over to us.” Meanwhile, the crowd chanted the slogan “Martyrs of the Revolution Are Immortal”.

The event continued with the speech of Gabi Fechtner, secretary-general of the MLPD. Fechtner drew attention to the anti-communist side of the German state and said, “The Munich Communists’ Case is actually an attack on the communist movement and we have a responsibility to create stronger international alliances.”

DKP, MKP and MLKP greeted our event by sending a video message.

The DKP message said, “The 50th anniversary of TKP-ML has brought steel will, indestructible positions and unbreakable bonds of comradeship to the legacy of the united revolutionary struggle.” The message continued as follows; “TKP-ML, which organized the armed struggle and established the guerrilla struggle despite all the legal, status quo and pacifist understandings of the revolutionary movement of Turkey, organized this struggle with hundreds of immortals and prisoners, in its 50th year. In this sense, the 50th anniversary of TKP-ML is also fifty years and trench comradeship of the revolutionary organizations that insist on their line in the united revolutionary struggle.”

In her message, MLKP said, “We salute the 50th anniversary of the struggle of TKP-ML with our sincere revolutionary feelings,” and continued: “The situation we are in Turkey and Kurdistan is of strategic importance. In the current process, the united struggle occupies a very important place. As MLKP, we attach great importance to the development of a united struggle both in the democratic field and in revolutionary armed positions. On this basis, we, as MLKP, are determined to advance our victory march with TKP-ML, and other revolutionary friendly organizations in the common platforms we are in.”

In the MKP message, it was said, “Comrade Kaypakkaya is a breakthrough, a communist line.” The following emphasis was made in the message; “His strength comes from taking Marxism-Leninism and Maoism as his guide. The general source of Comrade Kaypakkaya’s expression of views that no one had dared to say before, developing a correct perspective on all the problems of our revolution, putting forward solution methods, resolutely fighting against revisionism, reformism and social chauvinism and condemning them, the general source of his unyielding attitude in torture chambers is his belief in scientific socialism.”

In the MKP message, it was said, “Comrade Kaypakkaya is a breakthrough, a communist line.” The following emphasis was made in the message; “His strength comes from taking Marxism-Leninism and Maoism as his guide. The general source of Comrade Kaypakkaya’s expression of views and his insight that no one had dared to say before, developing a correct perspective on all the problems of our revolution, putting forward solution methods, resolutely fighting against revisionism, reformism and social chauvinism and condemning them, the general source of his unyielding attitude in torture chambers is his belief in scientific socialism.”

Apart from the video messages, there were also written messages from international communist movements and revolutionary organizations from Turkey. TIKB, KBDH, MKP European Committee, Bolshevik Partizan, TKIP Foreign Committee sent their written messages to our event.

Our fraternal and friendly organization and parties Communist Party of the Philippines, Communist Party of Nepal (Revolutionary Maoist), Communist Party of Peru, Communist (Maoist) Party of Afghanistan, (New) Italian Communist Party, International Coordination of Revolutionary Parties and Organizations – ICOR Main Coordinator, Patriotic Democratic Socialist Party-Tunisia, Mexican Communist Party, Sri Lanka Maoist Revolutionary Union, Italian Marxist-Leninist Party, Communist Construction – Germany, Bulgarian Workers and Peasants Party, Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine also gave support with their message. In addition, Lebanese Revolutionary George Abdullah, who has been imprisoned in France for 37 years, also gave a message to our night.

Then the music concert started. The event ended with a halay and slogans.
