Glory to the Communist Party of the Philippines on its 54th Anniversary!
Jose Maria Sison will live forever in the hearts of the peoples of the world!
On behalf of our party, the Communist Party of Turkey – Marxist Leninist (TKP-ML) and its affiliated Turkey Workers’ and Peasants’ Liberation Army (TİKKO), we greet with communist and internationalist sentiments the 54th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of the Philippines, the vanguard of the Filipino working class and toiling people. The Communist Party of the Philippines and the People’s War led by her have long occupied an important place in the history of world proletarian revolutions and we are proud to be a fraternal party to this esteemed Party.
While the effects of the inter-imperialist crisis, which deepened even more with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in early 2022 in the international arena, continue to aggravate, all ruling classes without exception are positioned according to these sharpening contradictions. With the conflict between the US-EU and Russian imperialists in 2022, which we are leaving behind, evolving into an armed conflict, albeit implicitly, in the field of Ukraine, the imperialist capitalists are preparing for the possibility that this conflict will jump to a higher stage and openly target each other in the coming years. While leaving behind a year in which threats of nuclear war were openly voiced, “young” imperialist powers such as China, for example, are preparing for a share in the possible new market war; “masters of the world” from Germany to Japan announce that they are allocating more budget for armaments. In this sense, the year 2022 was a year in which humanity quickly forgot the coronavirus pandemic, which emerged as a product of the destruction of nature as a result of the capitalist system’s exploitation and excessive greed for profit, but the imperialist capitalists, a real virus for the working class and the rights of the oppressed world, prepared for new market wars.
All these and similar developments have put an end to the lies that “classes are dead” and that “identity-culture struggles” have become essential. Today, everyone, in accordance with their own class position, talks about the sharpening of class contradictions and the growth of class conflicts. As a matter of fact, the anger of the peoples of the world, from the Middle East to South Asia, from Latin America to African countries, overflowing into the streets is an indication of this. We see the burning effect of the rebellion of the poor in many countries such as Iran, Tunisia, Mexico, Chile, France, South Korea, the Philippines, etc. etc. We are witnessing how the masses, especially women and youth, alarm the governments even under conditions when they do not have a communist leadership. In such a process, Marxist-Leninist-Maoist forces, in order to fulfil their mission, must lead the working class and labouring masses of the people in their own countries and raise the People’s War, while developing a common-united movement in the international arena. Like the Communist Party of the Philippines, TKP-ML endeavours to fulfil these two tasks.
As we are days away from celebrating the 54th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of the Philippines, we are saddened by the loss of Jose Maria Sison, a valued leader of the working class and people of the Philippines and of your Party, the CPP. The deep sorrow over the loss of Comrade Sison is not only for the people of the Philippines and the CPP. Our Party and the world Marxist-Leninist-Maoist movement will deeply feel the physical absence of Ka Joma, who made a valuable contribution in building an important bridge in the international relations between the CPP and the TKP-ML.
While Ka Joma was a friend of the peoples of the world, he was the fearful dream of the imperialists and their local collaborators, of all enemies of the working class and communism. For this reason, when he died, they said: “A new era without Jose Maria Sison dawns for the Philippines, and we will all be the better for it,”. The “Philippines” they refer to in this sentence is none other than their own system of exploitation, the slavery of imperialism. No matter how loudly they shout, Comrade Sison will forever live in peace in the hearts of the peoples of the world and will continue to frighten the imperialists and their local puppets.
Long live the Communist Party of the Philippines!
Long live the Communist Party of Turkey – Marxist Leninist!
Long Live the People’s War!
Long Live International Unity and Solidarity!
The communist spirit of Ka Joma will live forever!
