Communist Party of Turkey Marxist-Leninist CC: Let us gather under Lenin’s flag!

Statement: 2024/1

We commemorate those who fought for revolution and communism

Let us gather under Lenin’s flag!

We pay tribute to those who have lost their lives in the struggle for a classless, exploitation-free world. We stand with the international proletariat, oppressed toilers and oppressed peoples whose language, culture and beliefs are suppressed. Once again, we embrace their life and struggle practices. Once again, we affirm that those who have become immortal in the struggle for revolution and communism are concrete indicators of the will of the international proletariat and the liberation struggles of the oppressed peoples to win the future.

The first conference of our party in 1978 established the tradition of honouring those who fought for the international proletariat. Every year, in the last week of January, we commemorate the Party and Revolution Martyrs who lost their lives fighting for revolution and communism in Turkey and Kurdistan. This week is a testimony of their sacrifice and our commitment to their cause. Every year in the last week of January, we confidently remember those who fought for revolution and communism and continue to learn from their struggle practices. This is a time to confidently remember those who were immortalised in the struggle. Our party has a proud tradition of over half a century in the struggle for communism. We welcome all those who have fought in revolutionary struggles without discrimination. We pay tribute to those who have been immortalised for their struggle and honour their legacy and practice.

This year, in which we commemorate those who were immortalised in the struggle for revolution and communism, is also the 100th anniversary of the immortality of Comrade Lenin, the leader of the international proletariat and the oppressed peoples of the world. We sent Comrade Lenin to immortality on 21 January 1924. Lenin was a visionary leader who championed the cause of the international proletariat and the oppressed peoples of the world.  As the leader of the international proletariat and oppressed peoples, Lenin’s teachings continue to guide us.

Comrade Lenin’s analysis of “imperialism as the highest stage of capitalism” is one of his most important contributions to the science of Marxism. Its relevance remains as strong as ever after a century. Imperialist monopolies compete fiercely, often leading to armed conflict, as in Ukraine. There are clear signs of massacres, expulsions and divisions in various regions, especially in the Middle East. Comrade Lenin’s observations continue to guide the struggles of the international proletariat and oppressed peoples.

Comrade Lenin affirmed the right of oppressed nations to secede freely and establish their own state. This inspires legitimate struggles against imperialism, capitalism, national privileges and oppression. It also provides the international proletariat with a powerful theoretical weapon to confront the national problems created by imperialist capitalism today.

On the 100th anniversary of his immortality, we once again commemorate the immortal leaders of the international proletariat, especially Comrade Lenin. We continue to walk in the footsteps of those who were immortalised in their struggle for revolution and communism. They were immortalised as leaders, representatives and humble rank and file of the masses who did not accept what was imposed on them, who rebelled against all kinds of exploitation, oppression and patriarchal oppression in the reality of class society, which is a very small period of time in tens of thousands of years of human history. Precisely for this reason, they have become concrete witnesses of the victory of the future since it is the masses, not the heroes, who make history in the class struggle: the working class and the oppressed peoples of the world will surely win the future. It will win because in conditions where there are classes, where there is exploitation and oppression, where there are those whose language, faith and national identity are denied and destroyed, there will certainly be those who rise up. It will win because the international proletariat and the oppressed peoples of the world will continue to create new leaders and new ranks in their own actions. It will win because those of us who have been immortalised in the struggle for revolution and communism have embraced the aspirations of the working class and oppressed peoples, not their own personal interests. It will win because for as long as there is the Communist Party and the masses, all kinds of miracles can be created.

Let the representatives of the old-world attack with the last struggle of a dying, wounded beast. Let them try to silence us by imprisonment. Let them slaughter revolutionaries and communists with all their technological superiority.

The future belongs to those who want a classless, exploitation-free, free world! The future lies in the new democratic revolution, in socialism and communism!

On the 100th anniversary of his immortality, Comrade Lenin is alive, Leninism is fighting!

We remember those who were immortalised for the revolution and communism!

Long live Marxism Leninism Maoism!
