WE WALK TOWARDS DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE’S REVOLUTION BY FOLLOWING THE FOOTPRINT OF OUR MARTYRS!
When our party, TKP-ML, sent the flag of the international proletariat on the territory of our country 48 years ago today, a handful of leading cadres had only a few single shot shotguns and Marxist-Leninist-Maoist worldview able to shake the world from its foundations. Since then, our party has always followed the footsteps of our martyrs on the way of the Democratic People’s Revolution, through street resistances, mass movements, raids-ambushes, and numerous conflicts. And it is as enthusiastic as the first day and continues its way with the wisdom of 48 years. Remained loyal to the route drawn by our comrade and leader İbrahim Kaypakkaya, taking this on scientific foundations and taking a historical step by turning his views into a revolutionary program exactly one year ago. This step is valuable in every field.
Today, humanity worldwide is struggling with a virus called COVID-19. According to the official statements by countries, nearly two hundred thousand people lost their lives and millions of people were infected this disease included in the scope of pandemic. The picture revealed by the virus is a result. The source of this disease is the imperialist-capitalist system’s relationship with nature and all humanity. In a system where the imperialist-capitalist system adjusts everything according to the profit margin, it should not be expected to be otherwise. Along with the effects of the virus and the social-economic fault lines it generates many strategists are saying nothing will ever be the same again. That is why; It is time to raise solidarity and to account for the those responsible for the epidemic in these days, where people-humanity is imprisoned in homes, streets are filled with more police and gendarmerie, and opportunities are created to create authoritarian and oppressive regimes, and we seek to seize the vested rights of the working class and the oppressed. Because the real virus that threatens humanity is the imperialist-capitalist system and the feudal-fascist administrations it feeds.
April 24, the anniversary of the establishment of our party, is also the date when the Assyrian, Syriac and Chaldean peoples, especially Armenians, were subjected to genocide in our country and throughout the Middle East. Although more than a century has passed, the occupation-annexation attacks of the imperialists and the fascist Turkish state continue in the Middle East. In the continuation of the genocide that started with the Committee of Union and Progress, Kemalists have reached their peak in aggression with the AKP-MHP alliance. The resistance of the peoples of the Middle East against the invasion attacks will determine the fate of the Rojava Revolution. This resistance seriously affects working people of various nationalities of Turkey. The working class and oppressed of Turkey as every other country in the Middle East is growing discontent against their governments in all areas.
Our party, TKP-ML, demonstrates the direction we will proceed on for the victory of the People’s War strategy in the territory of our country with the “Middle Easternization” move it has put forward with its 1st Congress. The People’s War strategy continues to give hope to the peoples of the oppressed world and guerrilla warfare gives fear to the enemy.
Our party will keep the flag it received from our leader comrade and martyrs in its 49th year and will continue to claim the revolution.
